Founded in 1854, HBP Indian School has a rich history rooted in serving the local community of Shivaji Nagar. Over the years, it has witnessed the growth of Bengaluru and remained a pivotal institution for education and social development.

Our Rich Heritage and Legacy
It began as Hindu Balika Patashala, a Tamil-medium school for girls set up by 4 philanthropists from Arcot. Classes 6, 7, 8 were added between 1938 and 1940. In 1996, the school became an English-medium high school upto Class 10. It also converted itself into a co-educational school catering to children of all religions. Therefore the name was appropriately changed to just HBP Indian School.
Changing lives of children

The school plays an important role in the lives of the children it serves. It is affiliated to the Karnataka State School Board Curriculum. HBP also offers its students opportunities to learn from a range of activities such as sports, quizzes, painting, essay writing, singing, recitation, letter writing, handwriting, public speaking competitions etc. Apart from that, the school provides a secular learning environment for all its students and fosters tolerance, diversity and inter-personal skills.
